During each conference, the members of SACES express their concern for the individuals in need in the community where the SACES Conference will be held via service and community engagement. This year we will focus our efforts on helping 3 agencies that serve as advocates and helpers for individuals dealing with issues surrounding homelessness, substance addiction, and/or severe mental illness. These 3 agencies are Greater Birmingham Ministries, Jessie’s Place, and Fellowship House, Inc. There will be tables at the conference where conference participants can stop by and donate toiletry items or make monetary donations to be delivered to the agencies at the close of the conference. Representatives from the agencies will also be available at the awards luncheon to tell you all more about the work that they do.
